Shia LaBeouf Arrested

Actor Shia LaBeouf was arrested for DUI after being involved in an early morning car accident in Hollywood on Sunday after a big night out at the West Hollywood hotspot “Troubadour Club”.

According to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. Scott Wolf: “It was immediately apparent to officers responding on the scene that Mr. LaBeouf was intoxicated and he was subsequently placed under arrest.”

Shia was booked on charges of misdemeanor DUI and then released.

An eye witness heard a loud crash around 2:45 a.m., and the sound of Shia’s truck rolling over. When he got down to scene, Shia LaBeouf was already out of the car and the female riding with him was crawling out of the drivers side of the truck. The truck was smoking, making noise and still running. The driver of the other car was also out of the car by this time.

Apparently LaBeouf was trying to make a left turn when the accident happened and his car rolled over. Shia’s co-star Isabel Lucas who was riding with Shia and the driver of the other car involved in the crash weren’t seriously hurt, and Shia was being treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. for injuries to his head, left hand and knee.

LaBeouf’s rep says that the actor is “currently recovering from extensive hand surgery with plans to return to work on the set of Transformers 2 within one month.”
